Summer Vacation

This summer has been interesting. I've been to a birthday party for a relative that turned 80, found out my grandpa has cancer,hung out with a friend on several occasins, found out a college course I'm set to start in two weeks is cancelled; I'm in a scramble to get in touch with my advisor to see what she suggest I do, and I might be going up to canada for a few days in a few days.

This will be one of my most memorable summer vacations because of what's happened.

Two weeks of vacation left. Where has it all gone?

Coolest Thing About Trek

Star Trek has been mentioned, spoofed, and what have you on so many things from tv to movies and everything in between. The best is Family Guy and Futurama, they have done some of the coolest kick ass spoofs ever even some with cast members making fun of themselves.Who doesn't like it when someone makes fun of themselves. I do it all the time.

There are even documentaries. Can't go wrong there unless you end up taking a nap. ZZZZZ........

spring

Spring is finally here. Woo hoo! no more ten million layers of clothing for me. just a light jacket or sweatshirt at best.

Downside allergies. i will be a sniffling sneezing fool soon.better get out the tissues and allergy stuff non drowsy of course. don't need to fall asleep in class.

Star Trek Beyond the Final Frontier

The history channel special aired tonight. it was pretty interesting. why is it when they show trek fans on tv they show the super crazy ones? why not some of us that are semi crazy? i guess if you quirky then you're guaranteed fifteen minutes of fame or shame depending on the person. talk to those of us out there that have gone to cons but dress normal. or those of us who have collection that may not be impressive but within our means. how about letting us get a chance to own a piece of trek we can afford? not the people with no limits and a good exchange rate. ebay makes it easier but it can be limiting at times.

One Month

Exactly one month till my birthday. Wow!!

Saturday night

Another Saturday night at home. Same old thing. Every weekend. nothing ever changes. I sometimes wonder what some of my "friends" are doing right now and how come I'm not welcome.

I'm doing the same thing I do every Saturday night. watching tv and playing on the computer. loads of fun.

You'd think one would get used to this same old routine but you don't. it gets pretty boring after a while.

Losing contact

In my life, which is minor in comparison to so many, I have lost contact with more people than people I'm still in contact no matter how small the contact is. One person which I hate losing contact with is someoneI've known since high school. It'll be two years this summer since we last had any contact. Which is sad. i had to hear from that person's parents whats been going on with their life. I can count how many people I'm in touch with on one hand. No pity please.

I don't know why? If I knew it'd have fixed it by know. Some day I hope things will improve and I'll have contact with more people than those I have lost contact with.

New shirt

I'll be recieving a new sci fi themed shirt. It's a new Stargate t-shirt with a picture of Daniel Jackson ,my fave character, on it. Cool. My mom said and I quote " Here's my credit card I really didn't get you any trekkie gate stuff so get yourself a shirt" This was after I told her a site a site I visit was the last day of free shipping. So I picked out what I wanted.I'm supposed to act like I didn't know about it. No problem there. They really didn't have any trek shirts I liked. So when the shirt comes I can't wait. I needed a new shirt. I can't wait to wear it. Hopefully it arrives without problems.

Group work is evil

group work is evil. especially when you must evaulate each other. especially when you're group treats you like shit. it's totally not cool. especially when one is contributing to the group. some people should never ever get power. especially when i quote " i love being project manager" more like i like having little power trips and my little sidekick.

Yes it's true I'm a trekkie

Yes, folks it's true I am a trekkie. Not the kind that goes dressed up to conventions or anything but one that enjoys a great sci fi series. I'm not the sterotypical trekkie either I don't live in my parents basement. I live in the little crawlspace in the attic next to the bats. What more do you need to know? That's why I'm unknown. You might walk past me and never know it.
